Weed Harvesting 2024

Please be considerate and courteous to the weed harvesters and refrain from making large waves anywhere on the lake when they are cutting, but especially in areas of the lake where they are cutting – let’s not make it challenging for them to perform this service to our lake community.

Weed Harvesters have commented to our Dixie Lake Improvement Board (DLIB), who direct their weed harvesting activities, that when the lake is busy with board boats it’s very difficult for them to cut and sometimes they can’t cut at all – the waves can tip them over!

If you have questions or would like more information about weed harvesting, please access the DLIB website at dixielakeboard.org or call our DLIB members at the numbers below:

Oakland Harvesters are scheduled to be out on Dixie Lake twice each summer, usually once in June and once in August. Let’s extend a warm lake welcome to Oakland Harvesters and allow them the space they need to improve boating conditions on Dixie Lake!

Weed harvesters are directed by the Dixie Lake Improvement Board (DLIB) to focus on areas of our lake with heavy weed growth, however, if you are aware of specific areas that need to be addressed or want more information, please access the DLIB website at dixielakeboard.org or contact one of the following DLIB members at the numbers below:
